Private Sector Program
The Futures Group International led a consortium to succesfully bid
this contract. This Private Sector Program (PSP) focuses on increasing
sustainable provision and use of quality reproductive health and voluntary
family planning (RH/FP) and other key health products and services
through the private, and particularly commercial, sector. While this
procurement will serve as the flagship for RH/FP in the private sector,
many other health products and services may be promoted and/or provided
including oral rehydration salts (ORS); water purification kits; insecticide
treated nets (ITNs); basic drugs and/or syringes; micro-nutrients
and fortified foods; promotion of breastfeeding; and HIV treatment
and care services including voluntary counseling and testing (VCT)
and anti-retroviral therapy (ARVs). Sibley will provide design and
application of franchising concepts in support of this program.
Anticorruption Services
DPK Consulting led a consortium to successfully bid this contract.
This IQC will provide technical assistance in the area of international
anticorruption. By supporting efforts by host government institutions,
civil society organizations (including media, youth, labor union and
faith-based organizations) and the private sector, this IQC seeks
to promote greater transparency, accountability and broader participation
in the development process. Governmental integrity support activites
under this contract are expected to encompass the following funtional
areas: 1) public financial, administrative, regulatory and peronnel
controls that promote transparency and accountability; 2) civil society
participation in advocating for governmental integrity; and 3) promoting
synergies between anti-corruption promotion and other sectoral/sub-sectoral
areas, e.g. promoting greater transparency in other sectors, such
as health and education, or in other areas of democracy promotion,
such as rule of law or decentralization. Under this contract, Sibley
will provide audit, accounting, and other services to ensure financial
transparency.
Accelerated Microenterprise Advancement Project
As part of a team headed by IBM Consulting, Sibley International
has been awarded the Microfinance Component of the Accelerated Microenterprise
Advancement Project (AMAP) IQC. AMAP is designed to help USAID's Missions
and Washington office establish, deepen, or expand their microenterprise
development activities. AMAP will allow for the procurement of timely,
effective technical assistance, training, and financial and evaluation
services which will facilitate the design, implementation, evaluation,
and coordination of creative, cutting-edge microfinance and business
development services in all areas of the developing world.
The Microfinance Component will focus on assisting in the delivery
of financial services (including savings and credit) to low-income,
underserved populations, and facilitating the development of local
organizations serving the microenterprise community.
SEGIR General Business, Trade and Investment (GBTI)
Sibley International is part of a consortium of firms headed by CARANA
Corporation that holds the General Business, Trade and Investment
(GBTI) IQC component of USAID's Support for Economic Growth and Institutional
Reform (SEGIR) contract vehicle. The GBTI segment of this initiative
focuses on providing intellectual leadership and technical resources
for addressing a broad range of constraints to economic growth particularly
in the areas of general business development and trade and investment.
Sibley's strongest contributions are in the areas of activity design,
institutional development, legal and regulatory environment, trade
and investment promotion strategy, and firm-level assistance to enhance
trade.
The Jamaica SME Project currently in progess falls under the GBTI
IQC. Sibley and the CARANA team are implementing a four-year task
order to improve the Jamaican business environment, assist SME development,
and train Jamaican SMEs to compete in the global market.
